The Grip of Covid 19

The last couple of years have been tumultuous, to say the least. Covid 19 has taken hold in our society.

But is Covid from God or Satan? Well, we need to turn to the Bible for the answer to that one.

One of the scriptures that comes to mind when I think of Covid is Exodus 32:35.

Then the Lord sent a plague on the people because they made the calf, the one that Aaron made.”

The calf mentioned in this scripture was an idol.

But why would God allow a plague to take hold today in 2021?

I believe it is because of the idolatry that is throughout the world. I see many shops that have Buddhas or Dream Catchers in them. They are idolatry and God hates them. See Exodus 20:3-6. Idolatry is hated so much by God that he mentioned it twice in the ten commandments. Exodus 20:2-17

So, what about vaccinations? Is it necessary?

I believe this is up to the individual. But for me personally, I’ve decided to stay unvaccinated.

And because of this, I’m being persecuted. There is a range of activities and places I can’t go now merely because I haven’t taken the Jab which I think is not of God. I’m not alone, there are many others who are unvaccinated who are facing persecution.

Matthew 5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

I think Christians are being tested in a big way.

The Bible says that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

The Holy Spirit is in the process of separating the sheep from the goats.

Unfortunately, it’s only going to get harder. Covid 19 is just the beginning of birth pains as mentioned in Matthew 24.

In these difficult times, it’s important to be around believers who encourage you and lift you up. So, stay strong, and trust God.
