Today we live in a throw away society. If you’re not happy in your marriage, instead of working through your problems, you go out and find someone else that will give you instant gratification. There’s no such thing as in ‘sickness and in health anymore.’ So overall, morality has declined in leaps and bounds.
But the Scriptures warn us of what is to come to an unrighteous world…
Matthew 24:37-39 says “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man”
God brought a flood to wipe out mankind because of man’s immorality and unrighteousness. Before the flood, there was homosexuality, fornication, witchcraft, sexual immorality and there was also the offspring of fallen angels and women called the nephilim. God had to bring the flood because man’s DNA was corrupt.
If you have sin in your life, there are consequences.
The road to eternal life is not an easy road to walk on. There is a cost for following the LORD. As believers, we shouldn’t be smoking or drinking, we don’t go to nightclubs, we do not have sex before marriage, we don’t lie or cheat.
If we are to enter heaven, we must take up our cross and stay on the straight and narrow. As believers, we are set apart. We are the light of the world. A city on a hill. (Matt 5:14)
